Rapport
Rapport™ is our core product.
It has two components: Rapport Server™ and Rapport Mobile™.
With Rapport Server and Rapport Mobile it is easy to make
any business application available to mobile users.
Mobile users connect to the central server via the internet using GPRS, 3G or Wi-Fi. This gives a rapid data transfer rate and gives a typical end-to-end response time of a few seconds.
Rapport Server
Rapport Server™ is the centrally-located hub of a mobile system.
Its main functions are to:
- Provide universal connectivity to business applications, whatever their underlying database
- Handle all the access security so that non-authorised users are prevented from accessing the systems
- Manage business rules such as error handling, exceptions
- Manage automatic downloads of new applications to your mobile users
- Connect to the web to transmit/receive application data
Rapport Mobile
Rapport Mobile™is the remote client component of a mobile system and it resides on the hand-held device of all your business users. Its main functions are to:
- Provide access security, in case the device falls into the wrong hands
- Provide secure connectivity to Rapport Server
- Schedule the automatic downloads of new versions of the application to the handheld device
- To provide the user interface (screens, menus, fields, buttons etc) that your mobile users access to do their jobs
- Manage business rules such as input errors and exceptions
- Connect to the web, and transmit/receive application data from the central Rapport Server.
